Inauguration Day

Today was an exciting day in our history and students in 4th grade were able to participate in a lot of it. We spent some time watching Barack Obama being sworn in as president, read a Time For Kids magazine on Obama and different moments in presidential history and learned about what an Inauguration entails through a SMART Notebook file (similar to a power-point presentation). One of their favorite parts was going onto the computers and playing a game called, "If You Were President." You can click on the title and play again at home for those of you who didn't get a chance to finish. As you can see from the picture many students wore red, white or blue in honor of the day. Wow - what a fun day full of great learning!

Tell us in the comments section what you would do if you were president? Think about some of the major issues in our world. What would you try and change?
