End of Wisconsin...

Today was the last "learning" day in class for our social studies this year. We finished up learning about Wisconsin with some reading and videos on the resources and economy and how it has all changed over the years. They paid particular attention to the industrial revolution and the impact it had.

Tomorrow is our assessment which is open book and folder. Students were asked to bring things home tonight to look over and organize.

We do have two field trips coming up where more learning will take place about Wisconsin. We'll be traveling to Madison, WI in a couple of weeks to learn more about our state government and of course festering up some Badger pride when we visit Camp Randall. The fourth grade will also be going to Old World Wisconsin later in the year to learn more about how people used to live. They will learn about different trades and also see what games children kept themselves busy with.

We've learned a lot and now we're ready to move on to our next science unit -- Solar Energy.

On Wisconsin!!
