We just started a new writing unit. It's part of Units of Study and is called, Writing Fiction: Big Dreams, Tall Ambitions. We've discussed and tried out two different strategies for coming up with story ideas so far.
1. Examine things that happen in our lives and reread entries in our journals.
2. Think about what stories we wish existed in the world.
It's been a fun start and we look forward to seeing what this creative group comes up with.
