Today in science we learned all about Long Gongs and what type of sounds they make when they vibrate. We also used tuning forks to see vibration in action. For example the ping pong ball bounced back and forth when touched and the water splashed out of the cup!Way to go fourth graders! We have some awesome scientists in our classroom. I wonder what we'll learn about tomorrow...door fiddles, tone generators, sound sources and sound receivers??? Hmmmm. We'll hvae to wait to find out.

I bet you guys are making a lot of noise in your classroom. I love the Physics of Sound unit. We're working with Models and Designs. I bet you'll love making humdingers and go-carts as much as you loved the Long Gongs!
